ATI student published in online travel and food magazine

Atlas Obscura is an online global community of explorers who discover unique and wondrous places around the world.

ATI student JP Barbagelata recently visited a grand estate in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He visited to photograph and write an excerpt on the manor home for Atlas Obscura, an online global community of explorers who discover and write about unique and wondrous places and foods across the world.

As for JP’s discovery, he found the Graylyn Estate, a medieval style home built in 1932 with 60 bedrooms, 50 telephones, 17 showerheads in the marble bathrooms and now stands as a hotel today. Pleased with what JP saw, Atlas Obscura published his article to its more than one million unique visitors a month.

JP, a junior at ATI: San Francisco, had previously published one of his photos in Atlas Obscura, but the article linked below is the first to be accepted for publication. JP is a photographer and recently sold prints as part of ATI’s end-of-the-year student showcase. Read his article in Atlas Obscura here.
