ST. LOUIS (Feb. 26, 2019) — The Montessori Adolescent Program (MAP) has joined forces with the Academy of Thought and Industry (ATI), a nationwide network of schools for teenagers who focus on their own academic and professional excellence. ATI St. Louis is the fourth ATI campus, joining those in Austin, Manhattan, and San Francisco.
“We are excited to be a part of creating something remarkably transformational, not only for teenagers in St. Louis, but for the future of education,” said Sara Krenski, Head of School at ATI St. Louis. “Our existing community of amazing staff, students and families will help lead this new initiative as we realize our dreams of becoming a Montessori high school.”
MAP St. Louis has achieved 100 percent re-enrollment, a feat almost unheard of in the private school sector. With existing students already in place, ATI St. Louis has begun accepting applications for the 2019–2020 school year and plans to open with 35 students in grades seven to twelve.
ATI campuses promote a culture of excellence through academic rigor, entrepreneurial projects, and direct coaching and mentorship. The understanding of deep, integrated content—of a sweeping, rich perspective on history, science, literature, and economics—is central to the program as are other core classes in Life Design, Socratic humanities and mathematical problem-solving.
Families can learn more about ATI St. Louis during a free information session on Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m., at the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis, 3854 Washington Blvd. Register online at www.thoughtandindustry.com/events or call 314-884-1637.
