Max joined ATI as a ninth grader eager to pursue his interest in film. Due to his dyslexia, he was seeking an environment that could provide a personalized academic environment suitable for his learning difference while also supporting his strength in film. He was able to work with a professional independent filmmaker to develop his editing abilities such that by the end of the year, he was producing crisp, elegant, engaging film shorts that were dramatically different from the informal, casual, video blogs he had been producing when he joined ATI.
